Kia ora koutou for the past week we have been doing digital mosaic art. We had to find images to use and then use shapes to create the shape of the image. My image was a Saber Tooth tiger. When we do the outside of the image we had to use transparent lines so it would have more effect. I really enjoyed this art because it is really creative. Would you like to do some digital art like this?

Wonder Project day 2
Kia ora koutou today our guest Troy and Gustavo had came back to our school for the Wonder Project. Today we talked about Health and Safety and being safe around hazards. We talked for a while about being safe for example: Stay clear from the experiment (if it’s like a rocket) and make sure you have a supervisor. Here is a DLO to tell you what we have been talking about and what we need to do.
Today what I enjoyed was working with my group.
Wonder Project
Kia ora koutou last week in Te Ngahere some guest from a company called wonder project came to talk to us about how they have been seeing and experimenting new things that we haven’t seen before. They have been experimenting a red coloured kiwi fruit that we didn't even know about but about this time next year they will sell them at the shop. The guests names were Gustavo and Troy they are two really smart people that are an engineer and a scientist things. What I learnt is you don’t have to be told what to do in life you just need to follow your own gut. Would like to do something like this ?

Amazing Feathers Art
Amazing Feathers Art.
Kia ora koutou this week we have started a new type of art which relates to Matariki. We are going to be making a korowai from paper feathers that we colour in. We had four different options of feathers to choose from . I choose one that had a pretty difficult design to colour. Reason why I choose that one because it was sort of a challenge and I like challenges..Once our whole class is finished we will ma Maybe you could do something like this?

Fractions DLO
Kia ora Koutou for the past few days we have been learning to properly understand fractions and figure out what the numerator and denominator did. The Teacher explained what the two words meant, The numerator means how much pieces they have eaten or taken and the denominator means how much pieces there originally are. We had to make a DLO to explained how we solved the problems that we already answered. When we finished our DLO we had to Screencastify it so people could listen to it. Here is the video link.

Meke Turbo Touch
Kia ora koutou in Te Ngahere week one our new teacher Whaea Shanna taught us a new game called turbo touch. Whaea shanna explained the rules so we could understand how to play, we went onto the field to practice a bit.
Before we started to practice each team had to have four to five players. Once we had a good fifteen minutes of practice we got into the real game my team of boys had won all our games. Our teacher gave us a challenge ( our group thought was easy which it was) 5 players against 10, she gave us the challenge because our team was really good we let the option start with the ball.
We enjoyed playing Turbo touch, hopefully Whaea Shanna Stays a bit longer this year.
