My Holiday

My AWESOME Holiday With My Cousins Three weeks ago my family and I went to auckland to pick up my cousins because they were, staying at our house I was so excited to have them there and ,they have grown big my cousin. Matty Kapre was so tall he was almost ,taller than me and my other cousin Magic he’s has grown too and my cousin Matty was going to be eight years old (his birthday is the 12th of October). My mum and I were talking about what we should do for his, birthday there were two options go to the pools or go to the movies we my choice was the pools. 


 On Thursday I woke up and Matty was wide awake and once I woke up I said “happy birthday Matty” I was so tired I didn’t want to wake up, but I had to wake up for the big day today we had to get change and get our togs we had to have breakfast the, Matty and I had to do the dishes then we got in the car but the wires were poking out of the tire then we had to drive to the Caltex to get our tire fix. 

 Once the tire was fixed we drove of to the Whangarei WAVE POOLS!!! It was a long drive my sister came a long too and my cousin Matty and my sister were just, about to fall asleep but I wanted to fall asleep just for a while and I did then after a while I woke and the were still sleeping. Then they woke up then we got into town before we went to the pools we went to Pizza Hut to have something for lunch then we got to the pools then we had to wait, half an hour then after that Matty and I ran inside the swam around then my sister and my other cousins came in with my mum. After woods Matty and I went on the Hydroslide Kids under eight years old is not allowed to ride the hydroslide but my cousin Matty was lucky that he was eight not under once we got to the to we had to take turns on each slide Matty went on blue and I went on black(there are two different slides there is a blue slide and a black slide) it was dark as a dark hole but it’s fun but it’s pitch black and there are these inflatable donuts and you can use them on the slides.

Agreement Gala

Should We Have Galas?

 I think that we should have school gala’s because you can fundraise some old clothes to fundraise,for money.   

Firstly, Awesome I think that we should have galas because so we can use some money to use for our trips and our camps and so we can also go cool places and give some money to people that don’t have enough money. 

Secondly, Oh yeah you can play games and win prize and you can make your own game up it can be any game you want you can make your own game up too or can use old staff like a car race or a marble race.      

  

 Thirdly,Amazing It going to be fun tomorrow we can sell our old staff that we don’t use but I wonder what we can sell for baking? To Conclude, It’s going to be the best day ever and we will earn a lot of MONEY!!! So we can use some to go to on our trip to… COOPERS BEACH!!!!! And it will be great FUN!!!!!!!!! J.P. M.T.S

Amazing Alphabetical Alliteration

W.A.L.T make a alphabetical alliteration we used a screencasttifiy
to record our voices so our voices are recorded to our video now we don't have to speak in person maybe we might have to cause it might not work be cause the sound and we had to put our hand into a box to choose a letter mine was the letter D, so I had to do write something that match the letter that we puled out of the box we had to use images to also match our letter.

My fractions

W.A.L.T. to make a fractions wall. First we had to cut twelve pieces of paper the same length.  First we glued one whole strip, then we folded another strip in 1/2 before cutting it in half and gluing it on our wall. We repeated this process in 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1/12ths. We saw patterns when we cut 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/12. We saw another pattern when we cut 1/3, 1/6 and  1/9.  We saw another pattern with 1/5 and 1/10. the hardest part was keeping the strip the same length.

I.A.L.T. write a thank you card to Tim Tipene thanking him for coming to our school. He taught me to have have courage. I learnt that is quicker to duplicate the slides when you create a card.

  All the Students in Te Moana have recently begun their own blogs. They are all at the beginner blog stage now but we are all setting our goals to become Smart Bloggers by the end of the year. Please check our blogs all the time to check how we are learning to improve.

Our hoe

At the beginning of the year we wrote our hoe for Te Moana class as well as how we collaborate and care for others throughout the school as well as throughout life. We have just revisited it, and discussed the questions with greater meaning.
